After seeing a glimpse from the new trailer that came out a couple days ago, fans are getting super excited about "Godzilla vs. Kong."

Last month, we picked out 3 movies to stream to celebrate National Monkey Day, which included some of the more recent King Kong films, so today we're bringing you 3 to watch that are all about Godzilla.

It doesn't take a scientist to tell you, if you want to get rid of a monster, your best bet is to bring in another monster of similar or greater stature.

We're not sure who we're putting our money on yet, but in the meantime let's see how much damage Godzilla has done in the past.

This film is one that you definitely need to watch before you see "Godzilla vs. Kong" as it's the most recent film released in the MonsterVerse, and it'll give you a sense of how powerful this new and improved Godzilla really is. Also, this battle royale of mythical monsters is actually the 35th Godzilla film since the original film was released in 1954.

Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species-thought to be mere myths-rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity's very existence hanging in the balance.

Acting as the prequel to "Godzilla: King of the Monsters," this flick is the introduction of this bone-chilling, modern day Godzilla into the MonsterVerse. Though Godzilla's presence is off and on thought of as hostile, there's another monster in the mix that might prove to be more dangerous to the city than he is. When these beasts battle, you'll quickly see whether or not Godzilla deserves to be dubbed the "King of the Monsters."

The creatures leave colossal destruction in their wake, as they make their way toward their final battleground: San Francisco.

With the new "Godzilla vs. Kong" film coming out later this year, you might not have even realized that these giants already fought each other decades ago. We can't be sure that the outcome of the new film will be the same as this one, but it may give some insights into both of these behemoths' strengths and weaknesses. The movie might not be the CGI-heavy, over-the-top action that you're used to, but it's certainly an interesting watch to see how far filmmakers have come in making these monsters visually realistic.
