Tom and Jerry

Comedy / 2021 / PG

A legendary rivalry reemerges when Jerry moves into New York City's finest hotel on the eve of the wedding of the century, forcing the desperate event planner to hire Tom to get rid of him. As mayhem ensues, the escalating cat-and-mouse battle soon threatens to destroy her career, the wedding, and possibly the hotel itself.

In their first ever live-action/animated adventure, Tom & Jerry bring back that old game of cat and mouse that we didn't even know we were missing...this time in the Big Apple.

From the start of the new trailer, it appears as though the two foes have turned over a new leaf and are considering calling a truce...but where would the fun be in that?

We knew it was too good to be true, and in the same way that mouse Jerry used to sneak his way into the walls of Tom's house, he's trying his luck out this time at one of the most prestigious hotels in NYC.

Usually this tricky little moocher has only had to deal with a hungry cat, but now that he's in the big leagues of thieving, he'll have the wrath of the hotel staff to deal with, and one "lucky" employee in particular named Kayla (Chloë Grace Moretz).

Given her new problem, Kayla considers bringing in an exterminator but thinks that might draw too much attention to the issue, especially since their hotel is preparing to host the wedding of the century.

After thinking through her options, she decides on a somewhat unorthodox solution, which involves hiring a certain predator on the food chain to clean up the mess.

Enter Tom.

Yes, she does makes the vengeful cat a full-time employee, with his sole occupation being to rid the hotel of their mouse problem.

The only thing that's really changed is how much much more room they have for their never-ending prank war.
