Today, Tom Holland celebrates a quarter century of life. We're here for it, and happy to recommend a few of his best. The talented actor has been hard at work this year alone, already starring in "Cherry" and "Chaos Walking." We also see he's hard at work on a couple other projects we're antcipating: "Uncharted" and "Spider-Man: No Way Home." So, in honor of him and his special day, we've picked out our 3 favorite Tom Holland performances in movies you absolutely must stream.
Spider-Man: Far From Home
To get the party started, we wanted to kick things off with the character we all know and love. Look out! Here comes the Spider-Man! Holland has played the teenage webslinger in 5 films, including this one. And he's only gotten better and better with every appearance he's made in the MCU. While critics might not have ranked this as his highest-rated film, it's still the 25th highest-grossing film of all time. It seems like an appropriate choice given Holland turns 25 today. This film marked the successful end of Marvel's Phase Three. And it marked the beginning of Holland's Spider-Man as someone to possibly help fill the shoes of Iron Man and Captain America. As one of the youngest members of the MCU, that's saying something.
Another incredible performance from Holland is played out here in his feature film debut. He was only 15 years old when he earned the role, starring as one of the three sons of Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. Following his performance in the flick, people realized this kid has the acting chops to spar with some of Hollywood's heavyweights. He's been booking a couple movies nearly every year since he played the devastated character.
The Devil All the Time
As for our third pick, we're going with one of his more recent roles, where he shows everyone just how versatile he can be. Holland steps into the shoes of a young man who only wants the best for his family. He begins to learn about all the sinful people around him. And then he takes matters into his own hands to find justice for all. That said, everything comes at a price. Holland as Arvin Russell really comes into his own here. Though there are many well-known actors attached to the flick, Holland is the one in the driver's seat.
