Watch on

Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) finally thought he'd gotten rid of the hitman who ruined his career, Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson). Bryce's therapist even suggested that he get out of the game for good. So, as he sits on the beach, throws on his headphones, and cracks open a book, he begins to feel pure tranquility. Why hadn't he done this sooner? And just as that thought passes, Darius Kincaid's wife Sonia (Salma Hayek) rips his headphones off as bullets begin to fly! And the new trailer for "The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard" begins. No matter how hard he might try, Michael Bryce is in this game for life.

Whether or not he'll admit it, there's a big part of him that still wants to be the best bodyguard. He has nightmares about it every night! Sonia Kincaid is hijacking Bryce's retirement so they can save Darius, yet again. In this new preview, we're getting to see a softer side of Bryce. One where no matter how good he is at his job, he won't use guns and he won't kill. But we do have to admit something. Seeing Ryan Reynolds bust out pepper spray instead of a gun did made us laugh pretty hard. And on top of that, watching Samuel L. Jackson laughing at him was even better. We're absolutely certain that no matter how hard he tries, Bryce will end up killing someone by the end of this film. Old habits die hard.

Overall, we're super excited for this super-charged sequel, and we're also excited to see what kind of witty banter we'll get now that Salma Hayek is more in the mix with Reynolds and Jackson. Make sure to click here or below for the new trailer for "The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard."
