A film that's been getting some Academy Award looks for Kristen Stewart as a possible Best Actress contender is Neon's "Spencer." The movie has Stewart taking on the iconic role of an important woman in our history, the former Princess of Wales, Diana Spencer. The movie centers around the time just before Diana went through a difficult and public divorce. Today, Neon's new trailer for "Spencer" has Princess Diana coming to grips with a lifestyle she doesn't want, and people she doesn't want to be around. The pressure of being a perfect Princess weighs heavily on her, especially since she feels no love for her current husband Charles, the Prince of Wales. Let's take a closer look at the new preview.

'Spencer': Trailer Breakdown

As the trailer commences, we see the immediate royal family is all huddled together waiting on Princess Diana to arrive. We also see a visibly stressed Diana driving to meet them. She's on her way to spend Christmas with the family. But there's something else on her mind that's eating at her. When she finally arrives, she starts to get ready for dinner. She's begins washing her hands. Then, she looks at herself in mirror and utters the words, "That's it." Prior to her arrival, there have been rumors floating around about Charles and Diana possibly getting a divorce. Once she sits down at the table to eat, it's abundantly clear that the rest of the family have heard the rumors.

Now, Diana is faced with an impossible task. She must act like everything is fine because the world is watching. She's told by Charles, "There has to be two of you. There's the real one, and the one they take pictures of. Diana, for the good of the country." She's even approached by one of her concerned sons. He asks what's making her so sad. It's a heartbreaking situation that she's in. And there's no clear way out.

They believe that peace within the royal family household means peace in the country. It shows that there's one united front. Ironically enough, a front is the perfect word to describe it. It's all a facade. And it's one that Princess Diana must live through until she can somehow separate herself from Prince Charles and his family. Kristen Stewart looks more than capable as Princess Diana, fighting for her independence while trying to keep her composure with the eyes of the country on her. Watch the full trailer below.
