The big movies are now at home. It's action, adventure, and an ominous medieval sidequest across the streaming services this weekend. Here are the movies you should watch from each one. Happy streaming!

Director David Lowery ("The Old Man & the Gun") brings to life an Arthurian legend that does not break into song nor a cinematic universe. This pointedly direct, deeply engaging, singular story follows the journey of lesser almost-Knight of the Round Table, Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), and his journey to prove his worth. As you debate the film's meaning, let us add to the conversation by declaring this a Christmas movie. One that could very well dethrone "Die Hard" for the ultimate title.

Lisa Joy, co-creator of HBO's popular sci-fi series "Westworld," makes her feature film debut with this equally weighty -- and wholly original! -- sci-fi thriller. Hugh Jackman stars as a P.I. that can help his clients relive lost memories. Things go haywire when the mysterious Mae (Rebecca Ferguson) enters the picture. Also, look for Joy's "Westworld" star Thandiwe Newton as Jackman's partner.

We've been writing a lot about this musical opera since it opened at Cannes a few months ago. Featuring dazzling performances from Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard, and music from the Sparks Brothers, Leos Carax's avant-garde English-language debut is certainly not for everyone. But, if the one thing you're looking to watch is something completely different, "Annette" will not disappoint.

It's the team-up we didn't know we wanted, as Aquaman and Dora the Explorer seek vengeance. After a pharmaceutical company pulls a drug that could save the life of his cancer-stricken wife, Jason Momoa goes full tilt against Big Pharma. Momoa must also protect his daughter (Isabela Merced) as he goes underground. It's life on the run for the two, and it probably would have been less exciting if they just filed a lawsuit.

For those that are looking for something more low-key this weekend, this indie sports drama should be your one thing to watch. "Jungleland" is a Toronto International Film Festival gem from 2019 and features powerhouse performances from leads Jack O'Connell and Charlie Hunnam, who is redeemed from that "King Arthur" movie we referenced above. O'Connell stars as a bare-knuckle boxer who hits the road with his manager brother (O'Connell) for one last fight. Their bond soon unravels as an unlikely companion (Jessica Barden) joins them for the ride.

  • Black Panther (Disney+)

Marvel's latest "What If…" episode ponders how the MCU would have been different had Wakandian hero T'Challa took to the stars to become Star-Lord. It's a great adventure that recaptures the thrills of James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy." It also sets up a lot more questions, but still shows us just how good and inspirational the late King truly was no matter the circumstances. Chadwick Boseman voices his iconic character in what is now his final screen performance. If you're anything like us, you'll wish there could be more of Boseman and his Black Panther in future films. Honor the King by revisiting the film that made him a legendary hero and role model, both on-screen and in life.
