With the 93rd Academy Awards only days away, fans are starting to make their predictions about who's going to take home the glory this year. Sure, there are many awards to be given. But the big one we're thinking about is the most sacred, most sought-after, the Academy Award for Best Picture. Promising Young Woman
Emerald Fennell's breakout dramedy is nominated for five Oscars. It's also the front-runner for most of those categories. Without question, this includes Best Actress for Carey Mulligan's knockout performance. And director Fennell made history with "Nomadland" director Chloe Zhao. They became the first two women directors to compete for Best Director in the same year.

Judas and the Black Messiah
Shaka King's "Judas and the Black Messiah" is a late-season entry in a season that spanned into 2021 due to the pandemic. "Judas" first debuted in February where it got a ton of attention. The more we think about it, this could actually work in its favor as it's probably the freshest on the minds of Oscar voters.

Chloe Zhao's "Nomadland" has been sweeping up awards this season. The drama won Best Motion Picture - Drama at the Golden Globes. And Zhao took the win at the Directors Guild Awards. And then on top of that, the movie took top honors at the Producers Guild Awards. With such accolades already under its belt, "Nomadland" could just be the movie that takes home the top prize this Sunday.
