Kathleen

Synopsis: Twelve year-old Kathleen Davis (Shirley Temple) finds comfort from the loneliness caused by her neglectful father, John (Herbert Marshall), by daydreaming plots against her hated governess. To Kathleen's dismay, John brings home haughty Lorraine Bennett (Gail Patrick) and announces she will be Kathleen's new mother. A medical specialist advises John to have Kathleen see psychologist Dr. Angela Kent (Laraine Day), who immediately sides with Kathleen and concludes that it is John who needs help.
