There's a new super coming to town, but we don't know yet whether he'll be a good guy or a bad one. Sony just dropped a new trailer for their upcoming film "Morbius," and it shows Jared Leto's Dr. Michael Morbius trying to get comfortable in his new skin. Dr. Morbius has been given the short end of the stick as he's dying from a rare blood disease which he claims should have killed him already. In his search for a cure, he turns to a solution that's a bit more experimental than anything he's tried before. It's also a treatment that we can guarantee hasn't been approved for human trials. If you can even really identify it as a treatment at all. Due to the dangerous and uncertainty nature of this experiment, Morbius tests it out on himself, and the repercussions follow. Let's break down what happens next.

'Morbius': Trailer Breakdown

After Morbius' experimental treatment, he essentially goes missing for two months until he's found on a desolate container ship. But he's not the same Dr. Michael Morbius anymore. He's some kind of a half man/half monster hybrid. And he has little to no idea of how to control himself. His blood disease seems to be non-existent at this point which is a success in that respect. But he's constantly changing form between being human and being what you may consider an oversized bat. He has some kind of bat radar along with increased strength and speed. He even has the ability to fly!

He'll sometimes feel the sudden urge to hunt and consume blood. As trails of dead bodies start leading back to him, we begin to question whether he's a hero or a villain. Most agree with the latter. Some want to lock him up and throw away the key. Others, like Michael Keaton's MCU character Vulture, want to control him. The big question Morbius is asked at the end of the preview is, "Are you here to heal the world, or to destroy it?" Finally, in a recent vignette that was released yesterday, Leto mentions that there'll be a "web of opportunity." So, we're hoping desperately that he's alluding to the fact that we might get to see Spider-Man may make a cameo. Be sure to check out the full trailer below.
