Right now, the number one trending movie on Netflix that everyone is talking about is "Sweet Girl." It follows a father and a daughter who are fighting tooth and nail against big pharma to save the life of their wife and mother, respectively. While they're trying to save her, they'll need to keep an eye out for their own well-being as well. The concerned daughter is played by "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" star Isabela Merced. The relentless father is played by "Aquaman" hunk Jason Momoa. So, to get everyone further excited about Jason Momoa's new flick, we've found three more of the best Jason Momoa movies you can check out in addition. And be sure to watch "Sweet Girl" available to stream now on Netflix
1Zack Snyder's Justice League
This film features Jason Momoa's most beloved character Aquaman. Originally, Aquaman was first introduced in the original "Justice League" from 2017. But this film was the Zack Snyder director's cut that hadn't seen the light of day until recently. Though Momoa had a great performance in the first iteration, "Zack Snyder's Justice League" did his character justice. If this had been the version of the film that was released from the start, who knows how much more praise his standalone film "Aquaman" might have received thereafter (it's also quite good and deserves a watch). This long-haired, tattooed, muscle man took what we think of Aquaman and redefined the character entirely. The role is what proved to Hollywood that Jason Momoa is a top rising star.
Action / 2021 / R
If you want to get a sense of how bad to the bone Momoa can be, you've found your movie. In this film Momoa plays a simple family man who's just trying to go check on his cabin. When he and his father find out that drug smugglers have stashed all of their product in his cabin, they have no choice but to go into survival mode. One thing you can count on when Momoa is trapped in a cabin in the woods, he can turn pretty much anything he finds into a weapon. If these bad guys were smart, they would just take their drugs and leave. But we all know that's never what happens in these movies, so good luck going up against a wild-at-heart Jason Momoa.
3The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part
Currently, Momoa's highest-rated film on Rotten Tomatoes is this animated flick. And he plays a character that we definitely recognize. We're talking about a LEGO version of Aquaman! That's right, we get to see a LEGO version of Aquaman sculpted in Jason Momoa's image. Funnily enough, he's the only member of the Justice League who's actually voicing the LEGO version of his character. For instance, Channing Tatum voices Superman and Cobie Smulders voices Wonder Woman. So kudos to Momoa for playing ball and giving the fans what they want! As much as we love new, fun voices to depict our heroes, we'd prefer to just have a more crazy, zany version of the character from the actor who actually plays them in live action.
