If you were thinking you'd seen the last of Professor Wayne Szalinski, then you'll be happily mistaken as Rick Moranis is coming back to invent something new...a reboot for the "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" franchise.

Moranis has confirmed that he will be reprising his role from the Disney franchise, and one of his new co-stars will be "Frozen II" actor Josh Gad.The last movie from the franchise was made over 20 years ago, so we're excited to see how Disney will reimagine this nutty tale.

Joe Johnston, the director of the original film, has also agreed to return for this new iteration which may have played a factor in getting Moranis back.

The new film, "Shrunk," is said to be centered around Wayne Szalinski's son (played by Josh Gad) who now has a family of his own, and guess what happens...he does indeed shrink his own kids.

Though there's no release date set yet, this film will be part of Disney's theatrical slate, meaning it won't be on Disney+ on its initial opening.
