Candyman, Candyman, Candyman, Candyman, Candy... just kidding. Don't worry, we won't say it again. Universal delivered a new "Candyman" trailer today and if it's taught us anything it's that people love to say his name. Too bad they'll quickly realize that once you've said it, there's no going back. With myths and urban legends come foolish people willing to roll the dice at the cost of their livelihood. It's the same reason people pick up Ouija boards and try to summon demons or spirits. There's no rational reason to perform these types of seances. No matter what intentions a person may have, the risk is certainly not worth the reward. We have plenty of prime examples of what not to do in this new trailer for "Candyman," so let's go through them.

"Candyman": Trailer Breakdown

The origin of pretty much every curse or horror story starts with someone who's been wronged in some form or another. In this case, the afflicted soul who now goes by the name Candyman used to be a kind man who would give out candy to kids in his neighborhood. When razor blades ended up in the candy that these kids were consuming, everyone blamed him. After the police beat him, tortured him, and killed him, they thought their problem was solved. Then, a couple weeks went by, and the candied razor blades reappeared. The man was once innocent. But now, his army of the damned was born.

Looking at the folks in this trailer, a certain saying comes to mind. "If you play with fire, you might get burned." Whether it's a couple of hipsters in an art exhibit or a group of teenage girls in a school bathroom, they're kind of asking for it. Call out to a ghost, just don't be surprised when the myth becomes a reality. But the biggest surprise from this new preview is the reveal that actor Tony Todd from the original 1992 film is reprising his role as the Candyman in this flick. From what we can tell, he'll be spending most of his time building an army of Candymen and women. And his radical swarm of bees will be forever present. Check out the full trailer below.
