The time has finally come for the infamous release of "Zack Snyder's Justice League," now available to stream on HBO Max. Since early 2018 when DC superfans created the Change.org petition to release Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of "Justice League," moviegoers have been patiently waiting to feast their eyes on this 4-hour long flick.
After roughly 3 years since this #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement was started we're asking ourselves, will it live up to the hype? From what we've been hearing it sounds like that may be the case.
So, to celebrate this momentous day, we found 10 of the best Batman scenes from a variety of films so that you could start to get excited about how Batfleck will fare in this new feat.
1. I'm Batman ('Batman Begins')
To really understand and appreciate Batman, we need to start where this story begins. This clip earned a spot on our list because it's the first time we see what Christian Bale's Batman is made of, and he doesn't disappoint in the slightest.
2. Batman's Entrance ('Batman Forever')
Here we see an unforgettable entry, one that even Batman's nemeses agree is hardcore. Even with guns blazing at him, Val Kilmer's Batman breaks through the ceiling into the party, does a front flip and 180° spin in the air, lands in between two goons, and clotheslines them to the ground. That's one way to make an entrance.
3. Backup from Bats ('Batman Begins')
When we think of Batman nowadays we tend to imagine one man in a suit and cape, alone. Sure, in older films he had his sidekick Robin and he still has his butler Alfred, but who's out in the field when he needs some backup. After seeing this scene, we find out that he's got all the reinforcements he'll ever need.
4. Batman interrogates the Joker ('The Dark Knight')
As we scroll through all of Batman best moments in movies, we couldn't leave out his alone time with Heath Ledger's Joker. Their game of good cop, bad bat starts off with the Joker's head getting slammed into the table (which many fans probably got a kick out of), and it only continues to get worse. This unhinged Batman begins to bludgeon the Joker, so much that when Commissioner Gordan tries to intervene, Batman puts a chair underneath the doorknob to keep it closed.
5. Car Chase ('Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice')
Now, it's time for some Batfleck action! Ben Affleck's Batman drifts his way through a sea of bad guys gunning them down at every turn, until he hits what you might call a "bump" in the road. Enter Superman. These heroes stand face-to-face, staring at each other with disgust and when Superman tells Batman to back off, Batman delivers the famous line, "Tell me, do you bleed?"
6. Batman vs. Bane ('The Dark Knight Rises')
In "The Dark Knight Rises" we meet a new villain Bane, who is played by Tom Hardy. This calculated character tosses Batman into a pit of despair (literally a huge pit that no one escapes from) and after Bruce Wayne is able to make it out, he suits up again to take down this peculiar foe. This scene is cemented in our brain for the famous line that Batman delivers to Bane after swiping the floor saying, "Tell me where the trigger is, then you have my permission to die."
7. Tumbler Scene ('Batman Begins')
Though Batman isn't flooring the tumbler to fight any troublemakers, we think this clip is noteworthy just for his ability to speed past the entire police department with some level of ease. And he does pull out the big guns, but he only does it to blow up barricade to create a new exit as he's surrounded by cops. Once you see Batman hit the nitro boost off of a building and land on another building, you should probably just call it a day.
8. Warehouse Scene ('Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice')
This scene is probably the coolest Batman entrance we can think of. While the full squad of criminals have their guns pointed a every possible point of entry, no one is considering that he's going to blow a massive hole in the ground right where they're standing, and that's only the beginning. With a warehouse full of goons, Batman looks like he's having a field day pummeling them.
9. Car Chase ('The Dark Knight')
We're fans of most all the Batman movies and their chase scenes, but we have to say that this is easily our favorite car chase. The transition from being in the tumbler to being on the motorcycle followed by an explosion is something to behold, and when Batman is on a bike, there's no telling where he'll go or what he'll do. The most iconic part of this scene is definitely when Batman flips the big rig like it's nothing, and we're sure you're crossing your fingers with us hoping Batman will roll over the Joker when he says, "Hit me!"
10. Batman vs. Superman ('Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice')
Our final pick, and certainly our most epic one, is the duel of all duels, Batman versus Superman. A bat vigilante that thinks he's above the law versus an alien dressed like a clown, what a matchup! As you might guess, no matter what gadgets and gizmos Batman tries to throw at Superman, they accomplish nothing... until Batman shoots a little kryptonic gas bomb. The moment Batman levels the playing field, this battle turns into a straight up fist fight and they're playing for keeps.
